Yes! We were here last Feb and knew we wanted to come back. We were lucky- able to grab a few nights in the NP for the two week out spots. There was a snowstorm (?!) the day before we were due to arrive… happily the road was cleared by 10am so we could make it in. Seeing Chisos Basin peaks covered with snow is a sight I won’t forget. Pictures in the NEXT blog!!!
We miss you too. Especially watch & speak with Tom as he built the Van.
Absolutely would love to visit the places you have travelled to.
When I was young my parents had taken my brothers & I across country from NJ to CA in a popup trailer pulled by a country squire wagon over a 4-week period. That's when gas was 19 cents .
We crossed the county I40 West to LA then drove along the pacific coast to San Francisco taking I80 East back to NJ. We crossed the county when I 80 wasn’t fully completed. LOL!
I am really happy you are continuing sharing your journey with everybody including your friends in VG. I love seeing the places & events you have visted.
In the future I hope to visit some of destinations you have been to.
So cool!
Enjoy Big Bend! (I hope it isn't too overrun with spring-breakers!) One of my favorite places on earth!

Thank you, Larry! Miss the old ‘hood! Give love to everyone. You gotta get out here, it’s beautiful!
Amie thanks for all the Band tips from SXSW - agree on your take on live music.
We were in BBNP in November. Make sure you get to Santa Elena Canyon and Teralingua (outside park). Also, drive fast on I-10 or US90!
We made it to SE canyon last year, and actually stayed in Big Bend Ranch State Park in upper Madera -
Hiked an amazing slot canyon there, Closed Canyon- incredible. We will be cruising 10 to NM in a couple of days!
