FYI, Blanding has a great VRBO/AirBnB option on the southern approach to town. A guy and his wife built 3 tiny home lofts on their property, really luxurious.
My Tom and I loved our trip to the Grand Canyon via Sedona, in a snow storm. I highly recommend Alaska, Last week of August to the End of September. Most places in Alaska close up after 9/20.
Glad to hear that things turned out well after that misadventure. Hopefully it is now "three and done"! We were there (also Arches and several others) on a big "Western Parks" trip that we did a few years ago. Such gorgeous country!! Did you see the California Condors on either of your visits to the Vermillion Cliffs or perhaps at the nearby "Navajo Bridge"? (We missed seeing them close-up at the bridge, despite staying at a motel close by, but we did see a pair from about two miles away flying over the cliffs when we were there .)

Thanks for the tip! Because of the windstorm this motel had, literally, the last room in town!
Wow. You are true pioneers. Great pictures and good writing.
Thank you, thank you, John!

Alaska is on our bucket list in the next year or two…

We did see Condors. Spectacular birds.
